I have only been admitted once in the hospital and I hated that experience. It felt like I was seeing ghost of dead people in the hospital at night. I couldn't sleep till the next day. I had to ask to me discharged immediately and since that day, I get all my medical treatment at home. I hate being around hospitals.

I have never been admitted in the hospital before. Nor do I wish something like that to happen to my loved ones. My late mother was admitted in the hospitals for a couple of weeks.
However the situation in the hospitals is not appealing at all
I don't think anyone wants to be admitted to hospital haha

I have been admitted to the hospital a few times myself for numerous reasons throughout my life.

My first time being admitted was when I was one year old. My dad had been working nights and my mum was feeding my younger brother at the time whilst my dad slept. I had been unwell that day so she placed me in one of the old baby baths that you used to get so that she could keep an eye on me whilst she fed my brother and she placed me not overly close but close to the fire so that I wouldn't get cold.

The next thing she knew, she heard a splash and I had gone under the water and was having a seizure. Of course, my mum woke my dad, called for an ambulance and I was rushed to the hospital and had to spend quite a few days in there. They did a spinal tap to check for meningitis and also other tests to ensure it was nothing too serious.

Turns out that my body temperature got dangerously high and resulted in a seizure.

The next time was when I had my firstborn, I had to have him via cesarean section due to him becoming stuck at 7cm dilated. I was admitted to the hospital for 4 days due to that.

The third time was when I went down in severe pain with my stomach on the right side, had no clue what it was, and was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. I later found out I had gallstones.

The fourth time was when I again, had a severe gallbladder attack and was admitted into the hospital this time for 3 days until they finally agreed on surgery and a date for it.

I was not admitted into the hospital for my gallbladder removal as that was an outpatient surgery and I was home on the same day that evening.

The situation at hospital is very daring my friend. One is never comfortable while on the ward bed. You can imagine a scenario where your colleague on the next bed just dies and people begin to scream. This thing is so frightening and intimidating.

I was admitted to the hospital at the age of 2. I had a very high fever, and my mom couldn't get my temperature down so she and my dad had to rush me to the hospital since I had a 103 fever. That can be fatal for an infant!
Oh wow, sorry to hear! It’s tough at that age. What length of stay were you admitted for?

I don't like going to the doctor.
That's not what I refer to.
Self-care means taking care of yourself so that you can be healthy, you can be well, you can do your job, you can help and care for others, and you can do all the things you need to and want to accomplish in a day.
Things like exercise, healthy eating, and for mental health mediation, re-evaluating toxic relationships in your life etc.

I have never been over night. Just in and out a time or two.
That is very lucky. I have never been a fan of hospitals at all so the times I have had to go in and stay in have not been something I was happy with. As much as I always had the option to discharge myself, I knew staying in was the better option due to the reason I was admitted.

I now tend to try and avoid hospitals unless I have a reason in which I can not but over night stays are not something I would like to go through again any time soon.

I was admitted back in 2012 for stomach pain complaint. I went directly to the emergency room as I cannot bear the pain that time. I was discharged after an hour and the doctor said I can go home because it was nothing serious. The pain came back. It was so painful, I went back to the emergency. That time, the doctor was determined and admitted me. I had laparoscopic operation.
