So many parents either do not mind how much TV their children watch but on the other hand, you have parents who limit the time that their children spend watching the TV.

I myself with all my kids used to let them watch TV but I found a lot of the time, even though the TV was on and something like Disney Junior was on the TV, they never seemed to just sit and watch that all day but instead, have it on in the background whilst they were playing so I never minded having it on.

Some people will only allow say an hour of TV time for their children.

What are your thoughts on TV time for children? Should it be limited or is it something that varies depending on each parent and each child?

It is not proper to allow children to watch TV without limit. Psychological, it affects the way the children react and behavior. The children will take things they see on the TV as their reality. Secondly, childern that cultivate the habit of watching TV all the time use to be dull in the school

This is the reason behind children being autist. They are born to interact with the external world not stay the hole day in front of the TV. Lack of communication could result in this.

When children spen all their time on TV their productivity and thinking ability decreases, and they start to believe that life is easy like the shows they are watching, so limiting the time they have to watch TV will make them doing other things that will help their mind to develop and get enough thinking.

Yes, there are parents who are restricting their kids to watch TV during weekdays or if the kids have school.
My sister's kids are watching too much to the point that I tell them to turn it off and go to the their books and read their lessons.
And most of the time they are on their gadgets while watching YouTube videos - gamers streaming Roblox or Pet Simulator.
I put restrictions and gave me permission to watch TV and use gadgets.
