Do you feel more can be done to prevent the rising costs we are seeing?

All over the world at the moment, everyone is seeing the rising costs which is leaving many people struggling to even afford some things.

The governments claim they are doing all they can to help citizens with the rising costs but it sure doesn't feel like it for many who are still scraping and having to work double and even triple jobs to live.

Do you feel more can be done to prevent or even ease the rising costs we are seeing?

Honestly, the government have to do more. Government must make provisions for farmers and micro business owners. Secondly, government should endeavor to finance alternative energy that is cheaper and ecofriendly. Once, government can be able to make sure there is enough food and cheap energy, everything will fall in place. Crude oil is devastating economics of countries.

Drought is a big problem. What can anyone do about that? Myself, I think people are cursed.

Personally, i think governments can do more than this in order to improve the inflation, the government and the rich pwoples are the one behind thia exaggerated inflation, so if government do more things then things will never go like this and things will get relatively chipper in price.

What the government does is that they set up a price. As a farmer, if you sell with this price you do not even recover what you spend. As a result, they boycott selling their products. What happens is the rise of price for low productivity or merchandise provided. After a period, the government accepts the old price but everything has raised means the old price doesn't solve the problem.

Government is taxing everything. With high taxes, people on low-generating income are suffering too much. I understand that people should be obligated to pay but it shouldn't be too much.

The government should fine ways to decrease or even eliminate taxes on other basic needs.

Personally I feel relying on the government would not bring any positive change. We the citizens are the ones making the increase. The government is not in charge of fixing prices on most of the goods and services we sell. Then again if we can cut off most of these expenses products and go for the less popular substitutes, I believe these sellers would see reason. The painful part about it is that the moment we start going for the less popular products, we the citizens would still increase the price.

Economics aren't my strong point, so I'm not sure where ground zero of where all this high cost is coming from, but it needs to be nipped in the bud.

Most governments are just doing trial and error. They don't have a full grasp of the problem to know real solutions. More can be done. With the right policy per country, yhe rising prices of products, especially food, can be tamed.
