Elon Musk recently criticized work from home people, claiming they wanted an easy existence while making others go to non- home work to satisfy their needs.

Do you agree? Myself, I'm skeptical because I know some work from home stuff is rough and also a lot of jobs you drive to are sit-down and the only advantage of remote work is setting your own schedule, but is that always the case? In fact, as I said some work from home is rough as in the case of writers meeting a deadline

It has its own pros and cons, I know working from home gives someone more time to be themselves and maybe slack off a bit more.
I think Musk's opinion is a bunch of crap really. I think it's just one of his rants. In fact, he doesn't have a clue how hard a lot of "work from home" is. It's not always a way to avoid working hard, which is what he is implying.

This is a tough one as there will always be some people who choose work from home as a way to have an easier life and to be able to slack off but for someone like myself who has health issues, the main one that causes me the most issues being Fibromyalgia, working from home allows me to balance my work with my health so that I am still able to work without causing myself more issues and pain.

Having a family as well, I can also balance my work life with my family as well as my health.

Musk is an idiot who thinks the world revolves around him.

He has no right to criticise people on their choice of mode of work. He was the one who fired a few through a casual video call without any warning. He bought Twitter because it was something. And fired most people who made it worth his attention.

I don't mind that a business owner fires his employees at will. But there is some manners and you cannot get free ride because you are super rich.

People should not criticize those who work from home. I have been working from home for over a decade due to health concerns. I am unable to work a 9-5 job, despite my desire to do so. People enjoy judging others without knowing why. Working from home is no easy feat. You will not always have a job. Furthermore, you must upgrade your skill set as clients needs' evolve.

The Work from Home set up already existed even before the global pandemic hits us. More industry saw that they can put some of their workforce on a home based set up and save money on electricity bill. In my country there are businesses that have not transitioned back to full office set up. If they see no issues about it then Elon Musk claim is not necessary. He can say whatever he wants but the work from home set up is here to stay.
