Should schools teach students the importance of saving money?

As much as I feel parents should be the ones to teach their kids the importance of saving money, I also feel that help from schools as well and them teaching the importance of saving money could also work really well as well.

Going off one of my previous topics regarding schools teaching taxes, I feel teaching students how to save money as well would be beneficial to many. These are two important things I feel should be taught in life at a young age and could be something to bring into a math lesson that will help children when they are older.

What are your thoughts on schools teaching students the importance of saving money? Do you feel it could help children later in life being taught in school?

Financial education should be a vital part and parcel of our educational system. No one taught us the need to save in high schools and colleges and we almost became financial casualties in our generation.

Yes i strongly believe schools needs to start teaching students the importance of saving money, and most importantly, how to save money. These days we have a lot of young adults who lack this skill.

Personal finance, that teaches you saving and investing and growing your money, is not the part of curriculum in many countries. Sure, they teach you finances, investment, etc. but they don't teach you personal finance. I think it should be included in school and college courses.
