Fracking is something that is done to get oil and gas out of the ground. It has often been blamed as being the cause of earthquakes in the past and has been something that many want to see banned but so far, it is still something that is done regardless of whether it may be the cause of earthquakes.

What are your thoughts on fracking? Do you feel it should be banned?

LMAO, I initially misread fracking as tracking 😂
It wouldn't be the first time I have taken a quick look at a title or even something I have read online and misread it LOL. Happens to me way more times than I care to even admit. 🤣

I hold the opinion that it's already too late to ban it. The adverse impacts of all that we have done is now seen and we can't deny. At least now it's a wake up call. We might not be able to completely ban it as it won't be a pragmatic thing to do with so much energy dependency on these fuels. But yes, we can slowly bring it down. Anyways, alternative eco friendly energy sources are picking up popularity and are being encouraged globally.

Yeah, it's definitely a tight spot. On one hand, it seems like alt. energy sources have been slow to pick up, and on the other, we see that traditional ways of getting oil (not fracking) keep prices up and threaten national security. Of course, I'm speaking, though, from an American-centric viewpoint. In fact, many other nations have no choice at all.

Alternative sources of energy have picked up slowly. But I see that it's being encouraged a lot across the globe and now governments across the globe are investing a lot to develop it, provide the infrastructure etc. It's already picking up and we would see it growing up with accelerated rate in near future.
Some countries have their economy totally dependent on oils. They might have to diversify their economic dependency as the world will move towards alternative sources of energy
