Pension age

I don't know about Nepal, but here, you and your employer must pay a percentage of your earnings into your workplace pension scheme.
Not the government
Here, the Pension scheme is only available for "government jobs" You will have access to pensions only when you are a civil servant. You don't get a pension with private jobs. Big private companies will give you a "retirement handshake," though.

I think it is fine. I know a lot of older people that are working over 67. I don't think they want to stay home and do nothing.
This is exactly what happened with my old man. He never wanted to stay home for any reason whatsoever. He's over 74 years old but still kicks up his business everyday.

Thanks for explaining - I'm learning a lot about Nepal from you
Here in the UK, everyone receives a pension.

Do you receive a pension even if you work in a small private firm, let's say a restaurant for instance? Are all employers entitled to give pension to their employees if the emplopyees fulfil certain criteria?

Due to medical advances, at least in the UK, we have an aging population. Where are you based? :)

I was under the impression you are also from the UK but I believe I am wrong, heh
You are very wrong my friend. What is the life expectancy at the UK?

In my country only the people who work on the government sector are the only beneficiaries of the pension scheme.

I would be all for the pension age to be raised if I am honest as long as things such as each person's physical health were taken into account.

Whilst we may see many people who are in their 60s and possibly even 70s that are healthy and can still work as well as they have been, some people are not able to and that should be taken into account and checked properly to ensure they can continue with work without causing any further issues.

Basically as I said :)
