Does God exist? And is he abusive?

I don't really know if God exists. There's really no evidence that God exists, I think religion exists because people are afraid of what happens after we die. I also believe organized religion needed to exist in the early days prior to us having concrete laws to keep humans in check, since we are vile creatures. I bet there were more killings prior to the years that organized religion existed.

I have always said that unless there is solid evidence to prove that God exists I do not believe he does. Everyone goes on about how they believe God will make everything better and when something goes wrong many who believe he exists pray to him but when you look at the world now and all the suffering that everyone goes through with war, violence, and even natural disasters, if he did exist, wouldn't he do something to stop all that?

God exists but not in the way religious books like Bible, Quran, Vedas, or any other religious literature explain. God most people know is actually created by people. Call it God, Almighty, Super Power, or Higher Power, there is something beyond our imagination and understanding.

Everyone is entitled to their own views

I think God exists. When we refer to the whole book, it says on one of the scriptures that I am God that exists
What religion are you, if it's okay to ask? :)

I am a Christian my friend. What about you?
I am agnostic, meaning I don't know what to believe :)
I am someone who needs evidence to believe anything. That can lead to me offending ppl in authority. I'm a firm believer that a fresh pair of eyes can be helpful, as ppl more senior than you can make assumptions based on their experience . At work, regardless of who it is, I will research the facts and form my own conclusions, rather than blindly believing what one more experienced than myself has to say

Do you really believe that these scriptures were actually written by God? Do you actually think every word in "your Holy Book" is actually from God? I believe scriptures are human-written and God described on scriptures is human generated. :D

I'm an Atheist. But I obviously respect those that choose to believe.
With respect for your views, I'm just curious as to why you feel this way? Would you describe yourself as an atheist-agnostic? Personally, I don't know what to believe without evidence so I'd call myself an agnostic but not an atheist-agnostic. Even if we were to have different views I of course respect that, I am just keen to understand the perspectives of others :)

Sure, no worries. I basically don't believe in anything without direct, scientific evidence. I'm not sure what Agnostic is. But for me, no God, no Devil, no Bigfoot, aliens, etc.

As to why.... Well, I've had several personal experiences that upset me quite a *lot* while engaged in Catholicism. Some even call me "jaded". I don't wish to provide details. I do, however, firmly believe that organized religion is a serious issue and too many atrocities have been committed in the act of "faith".

That's so great for you to live and believe in your own insights

I can understand your point my friend.
But do you know that those people that wrote the Bible were inspired by the holy spirit.
The holy spirit is God himself my friend.

This is what they say about their religious scriptures in every religion. They say God gave them visions and they wrote those visions. If God gave visions why is there no new addition to the Holy books? Why doesn't God inspire people to come up with the exact answers to the questions like abortion and gay marriage?

Does God exist? And if he does, can we call him abusive for the atrocious committed by other humans?
My religion compels me to believe that God truly exist. Also, he's not an abusive God because if were to be abusive, there's no way he would care enough to allow his son Jesus Christ to come and die for the sinners salvation. I'm a Catholic by faith.

You have really blessed me with the gospel. Keep up the good work
