I don't have a car at the moment but my mum does and a lot of the time when she has issues with her car it often goes over both of our heads and we are clueless so she always leaves it to a mechanic to deal with. If I had my own car I would more than likely do the same thing and leave it to a mechanic.
I don't own a car, I have a motorbike, however, when I have issues, I will always get a mechanic to fix it, I do not have any skills to look into my motorbike. I cannot even change the tires on my bike.
The only thing that I have ever worked on my car is changing of the oil and battery. Any other mechanical works are carried out by the professional mechanics.
I won't do my work job and still do the job of another unless I'm going to study mechanical engineering theoritically and practically.
I need to get more into it. As of now, I only know how to put oil and break fluid in. It's not enough cause otherwise I wouldn't have as many costly trips to a mechanic.
I don't, only because I'm afraid I'll screw something up or hurt myself. I should learn to at least change the oil, since that is something that can save me money.
