QAnon, a conspiracy theory alleging a secret plot against President Trump by a shadowy cabal, has gained significant attention in recent years. Its adherents interpret cryptic messages from an anonymous figure, "Q," as evidence of deep state machinations and elite wrongdoing. However, the spread of QAnon ideology raises pressing concerns about its impact on society. From misinformation to real-world consequences, QAnon's influence extends beyond online forums. What are your perspectives on the rise of QAnon? How do you perceive its effects on public discourse, political polarization, and societal trust?
It's a very recent thing. If I am not wrong, it came into existence around 2017. It's surprising or rather shocking to see how it has gained so much of popularity. They are just propagating theories that have no evidences to support.. they are baseless but still there are many who believe it. The digital world comes with it's own cons. Things go viral in no time. And the same lie told again and again starts sounding like a truth.
It's sometimes scary to see how such baseless conspiracies can play with the mindset of people and can have such huge social impact.
