What's your experience with donating blood? Do you see it something you should do once in a while in order to help out those in need or it's not your cup of tea?

I have donated blood a few times and mostly to my family members. If I'm the last resort to save a live with donating my blood, I don't have any problems doing it.

I have had blood taken for tests quite a few times in the past when I have been feeling a little under the weather and the doctor wanted to check for things to ensure it was nothing serious causing my issues.

In terms of donating blood, I have not done that as of yet.

I have donated blood multiple times, I am O Positive and this is one of the most common blood groups, therefore, the demand for this blood is also comparatively higher. Donating blood is perfectly healthy activity if you are not suffering from an y genetic or life style diseases and if you are not under medication.

I'm O Positive too!

I used to donate when I was younger until I became too anemic. After I got cancer, I couldn't donate for a while, but I think I'm okay to do so now. It's just that some of our local blood banks are turning people away (I've read on some of the local Facebook groups). I'd hate to sign up and drive 45 minutes to be turned away and that's the closest blood bank.
