I’m part of Gen X and maybe all those years of helicopter parenting meant we missed what was going on with Gen Z. We might be the ones to blame for crazy college protests.

I agree up to a point. However, not all values espoused by Fox News I agree with, and Israel comes across as bullies.

The truth of the matter is a lot of kids today are entitled. They have access to things we didn't growing up back then, but the worse part about it is that they are not making use of it the right way.

Some of today's kids seem to have a sense of entitlement, expecting to get whatever they want without putting in the effort. The parents may share some of the blame, as their parenting styles may not be effective. In addition, the influence of social media plays a role in shaping how young people see things. This can lead to a hesitancy to take responsibility and problems dealing with failure and disappointment.

Entitlement has always existed, though. For instance, given the Bible stance on it, a lot of American Christians, who generally are against entitlement, are all for inheritances and have always been.

I believe that the parents of today are consciously or unconsciously raising entitled kids in the name of love and care. What do you expect from children that everything is done for them by their parents?
