Thoughts on Music Sharing

Is it theft? Has it really ended since the days of Napster? Well, nowadays you can seemingly get anything on YouTube but that's ad-supported and the artists get their cut.
😄I have no idea what Napster is.

Imo artists rightfully deserve the lions share of all revenue generated by the bullshit ads on sites like jewtube, as far as I'm currently aware, artists only receive mere scraps from these mass media corporations.

Basically a polite version of theivery.
😂Not really all that different to how gangs "offer protection" to local businesses—for a fee.

Does anyone feel that music sharing has lowered the quality of music being heard? Of course, I am only referring to music being made popular by the mainstream. For instance, in the past, record companies would sign bands like Guns n Roses or The Beatles and then invest tons of money into them as in investment.
