What are your thoughts on the burning of country flags?

We have all seen it during protests and riots where some of them burn the flag of their country or another country. This often leaves many angry, upset and disappointed with those who choose to commit this act.

What are your thoughts on the burning of country flags?

In the case of the US, my country, I don't like it, but the fact people can legally shows our country is truly free. Anyway, though, legality, though cannot protect protesters from harassment to some degree. In fact, soldiers and others have strong feelings about the flag due to sacrifices made for the nation.

I don't like it when people burn flags. As it is a symbol of one's nation, for some, it represents freedom from being enslaved to another region or regime. For me, it is disrespectful to the traditions and customs of a nation

I couldn't agree more! It is a sign of disrespect no matter what reason you had to burn the flag. Countries are going to do things that we are not happy with but burning a flag will only cause more unrest.

It really doesn't offend me. It did at one time, but I've gotten numb to it. Anyway, though, I still respect my country, though

Well, all this is kind of like my reaction to hate speech. At one time it sickened me, but now I don't care, but I certainly don't like it.
