Are you a Brexit supporter or opposer? What are your views on Brexit?
As a strong opposer, I was curious to understand why people support Brexit. The linked article gave me a better understanding. Always open to the views of others.

We currently have a dis-functioning assembly in NI. Personally I feel the DUP are being uncompromising. I don't think a better deal could be reached.

The Windsor Framework was signed to alter the Northern Ireland Protocol - and aims to significantly reduce the number of checks on any goods arriving in Northern Ireland from Great Britain.

The Stormont Brake mechanism would also allow the Northern Ireland Assembly to object to new EU rules.

Thirty assembly members, from two or more parties, can pause new EU legislation applying in NI.

There is however a caveat to to the Stormont brake, which the DUP take issue to:

This could happen in instances were a new EU law would have a "significant impact specific to everyday life".

With the subsequent unrest in Northern Ireland, dissident republican attacks have increased. All of this could have been avoided by remaining in the EU in my view.

However, there is another side to this:

"Of course we want to see Stormont fully functioning, but the idea that when we get Stormont back up and running, that dissident republicans will put their guns away, I didn't hear the chief constable suggest that," the DUP leader added.

Also the delays in Dover could have been avoided by remaining in the EU, due to the benefit provided by membership of the EU - the free movement of people.

Slow processing of documentation since the UK left the EU, staffing levels on the French side of the Channel, and more coaches than expected were variously blamed for long queues at the port.

While Personally I believe the cons of Brexit outweigh the pros, I 'd be interested to gain an understanding of the views of others

I have never been in support Brexit. I don't understand it at all. I know there's so many unsaid reasons why it's been pushed for but it's not enough to make it a prioirty in my opinion.

The UKIP are over now, lost most of the election seats. Not surprising given that Reform barely have any seats, too, despite having most funding.

The government has ditched its plan for thousands of EU-era laws to expire automatically at the end of the year.

Around 500 EU laws covering financial services had been exempted from the deadline, as they are due to be repealed by a separate bill making its way through the Commons. The same is expected for EU legislation affecting VAT and customs.

I really hope employment laws for benefits like annual leave and the equality act are exempt
