Israel strikes back at Lebanon and Gaza

The Israeli military has carried out air strikes on targets belonging to the Palestinian militant group Hamas in southern Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.

The military said the attacks were a response to a barrage of 34 rockets fired from Lebanon into northern Israel on Thursday, which it blamed on Hamas.
Let's hope the 2006 Lebanon-Israel war does not reignite

Tensions are high following two nights of Israeli police raids at the al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem earlier this week.

The raids triggered violent confrontations with Palestinians inside the mosque, which is Islam's third holiest site, and caused anger across the region.

I find it really sad that religious places like mosques are attacked :(

3 British-Israeli citizens have been shot at the West Bank

The mayor of Efrat, Oded Revivi, said the family were immigrants from the UK, originally from London, and that they were travelling to Tiberius, located on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, for a holiday when the attack happened.

They have a Twitter account?

Just in case of new information.
I don't follow Twitter, but just the news. Constant updates on the war can be tiresome to read, so I just follow the news to learn of the major incidents.

Thanks for sharing the article :)

The Israeli Foreign Ministry called on Jordan’s Waqf guards, “to immediately remove from the al-Aqsa Mosque these extremists who are planning to riot (on Sunday) during Muslim prayers on the Temple Mount and the Priestly Blessing at the Western Wall.”
It's an unfair, discriminatory, precarious assumption to make that all Muslims are bad, just because there are SOME extremists :(

The victims were travelling in one of three cars on their way to Tiberias in the Galilee for a family holiday.
I find it really sad that this had to happen on a vacation :(

The main reason for this conflict is they are not accepting others' existence. It was once Jewish land, but then the Muslims made their home. How can you throw away Muslims from the land they made their home for hundreds of years and how can you not accept the fact that it was once Jewish land?

They need to just respect each other's beliefs. Muslims, let the Jews pray and Jews, let the Muslims pray. Peace out, both sides.

Whenever there's a war or fight going on, no place is excluded from getting attacked and bombed. In fact, they target such areas because they know for certain they will kill more people from there.

It's really shame... War is going to destroy us all.

Yeah :(

Israel says Palestinian militants in Gaza have fired more than 460 rockets at it, and that its military has hit over 130 militant targets in Gaza, in the heaviest fighting in nine months.
The war goes on.
