Is war an industry in the US and other countries?

It might be an industry, but with the rise of China, what else is there to do? Anyway, it definitely will create a lot of jobs. For instance, on social media there is this ad for building submarines I see so much.

It kind of always has been? Pretty sure we sell weapons and fuel battles in other countries to keep pushing our stuff.
