Technology is the major driver of the world now. With respect to that, there are more job openings in the STEM subjects and related courses. Arts and Humanities seem to become much less needed in the larger scheme of things.

Do you think taking up a course of study in the arts and humanities would still give one a single opportunity as things stand and in the future?

If you take away Arts and Humanities, all the technological advancements and inventions won't have application. It is the Arts and Humanities that practice and aid practices of technology. Arts and Humanities are still very relevant.
