Myself, I don't really care what is spouted on websites and social media. I have the on, off, and change the channel button. However, though, I feel like ultra-sensitive people are trying to sanitize speech, but then again, I can understand why some advertisers don't want to be associated with hardcore free speech and that's their right. In fact, people spouting what is termed as hate speech are bad for business, unless it's a minority of businesses that don't care about it.

What people don't get about FREE speech is it's there to protect the exact kind of speech you disagree with, not the speech you do agree with. Hate speech has no protection under the Free speech laws so that aside, let people say what they want. It's up to us as intelligent human beings to differentiate truth from lie.

I think hate speech is protected to a degree, but honestly, what do I care if some grouch wants to babble on about people he/she hates? It's a bunch of comedy to me. I mean, as I said, there's the on and off switch and I'm sure the feeling is mutual.
