Not sure if the world would be better off without cars altogether, but I do think the world in sum would get better if we dropped all personal cars while keeping commercial drivers and emergency services on the roads. Of course, this would be given that there would come good public transit options in the cities. And, of course, it would be quite isolating for those living in rural areas, so I would probably limit my stance to removing cars from dense cities.

Totally agreed! It's not like we have to go back to using horses again like our forefathers did. With technology, we have gone past that stage in life.
