When it comes to certain TV shows and also things that are seen on TV, all too often a lot of what we see if either edited to look better than it does or filters are used to give a better look to models that are being used for advertising or even promotion purposes.

Many young children including young girls tend to see these on the TV and also in magazines and also online and feel that is how they have to be in reality otherwise they will get bullied.

Do you feel models are setting a bad example to the younger generation in terms of how you have to look?

I really do feel that can have a negative impact on mental health.
However it can also be rewarding to be able to mimic those looks, however I think importance should always be placed in personality rather than looks.
This I agree with. All too often you see models online or even on the TV and young children want to look like them and as much as I do not see that being a problem, sometimes these models that youngsters follow tend to have a really bad possibility. With the internet and TV being so freely available now for all, kids can run into these things and if they see someone they look up to for looks and they act a certain way, they tend to mimic that as well and that is where the problem lies.

We should learn to instill a positive mental overview of themselves and the world around them. It is only kids with complex issues that would feel pressured to look like the models they see on TV. A positive mental attitude towards themselves would let them build self confidence on their abilities and their physical appearance. I don't blame the models. I blame the kids and the upbringing.
