Are laws on smokers too much?

Some 2nd hand in the doorway of a building isn't going to hurt anyone. Why is everyone so soft? Well, I can understand banning it in some places, though.

Smoke carries and gets everywhere, even on a doorway, that's why some rental places and restaurants require you to be off property to smoke. I do feel bad for smokers though.
