Is the Internet better for learning?

So something I have noticed a lot with me still having two kids in school is how much the school now even uses the internet for teaching children. I always say to my kids when they have any kind of homework as well if they get given it, that they should look it up on Google and research the answer to a question they have because that is still a way of learning and it is not cheating.

Would you say that the internet is becoming a better place now to learn?
