Do you remember getting lost in town?

When I was a kid, I was oftenly getting intimidated by the seniors that it was a must for everyone who leaves for the city from the village must get lost on the way.
However I took heed on that and when I got to the city for the first time with my late father I was very keen mastering the land marks, the names of the buildings on the bus stations and every street that we used.
Eventually when I went there after some couple of years after completing my high school I easily followed what I mastered in the last visit and I managed without getting lost on the city.
What was you experience in your first visit of the city.

I always remember as a kid getting lost in the town I live in when I was out with say my mum but it was usually that she had gone down an aisle and I hadn't seen and it would be a panic for me until I found her.

Whenever we went into big cities with family, I was always weary of losing either my mum or my grandma so I would always make sure I stayed close by.

I could never imagine getting lost in a city, they are so busy.
