Do you feel the death penalty should be abolished?

The death penalty is something that has been going on for a while and I believe some states in America still punish people who commit a serious enough crime using the death penalty.

The only issue with the death penalty is that in some cases, people have been found to be not guilty sometimes years and years after first being convicted. What if that person had already faced the death penalty and they were no longer here and it was later found that they were innocent? You couldn't reverse what had happened and you may have taken the life of an innocent person.

What are your thoughts on the death penalty? Should it be abolished?

Nope. The death penalty is a Perfect punishment for murderers. You take a life then you should pay with your own. Obviously if you killed in self defense or killed because they murdered a love one is a different story.

How about if the person was framed and they are in actual fact innocent? It has been known for people to spend years behind bars or even on death row and then be found not guilty and not have committed the crime. Some people were lucky in not having had their life taken yet but others were not so lucky and that is a life that they will never get back and it is also not justice for those who lost someone if it was due to murder.

I really feel like it has no positive role and is barbaric However, though, this idea conflicts with Biblical views of justice and I have a hard time reconciling this conflict. Well, what do you feel makes sense?

I hope the death penalty is abolished globally. My country replaced it with life imprisonment, which I'm glad about. Innocent people could be wrongly convicted and framed.

Sometimes they go to place you in prison for 10 years for killing someone in self-defense or even more than that period especially if this person has a relationship with police or even his father. Laws are a bit different if you are someone who pays money for police to change the truth.

For me, it's 50/50. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, especially among serial killers, rapists, and others. However, some people are accused of doing things they did not do.
