Do you believe schools should have security cameras in hallways and classrooms?

So something I have seen mentioned a few times but at least at the moment, I don't know if any schools have actually done this or have even considered it.

With the violence that goes on in schools not just with gun violence but also with fights and also weapons such as pen knives getting into the school that students carry around with them, do you think having something like security cameras in classrooms and also hallways or corridors would help to prevent these kind of things happening?

There is need for those security cameras. The people that are there need to know how the kids are behaving so that something can be done when they notice a movement that looks awkward. I see that as going a long way in ensuring things are sorted out properly.

There are so many in western society these days anyway, so it's not a big deal and that society has gotten too dangerous. I mean, we simply cannot risk safety and lives, and plus a lot of lawsuits could come.

I'm for cameras in all public areas of the school, just to avoid any possible hearsay and wrong detail reports, but I know that can be hard to maintain and be expensive.
