The Bible teaches to renew your mind. If your mind is renewed enough, it doesn't matter what's thrown at you, you can resist. Anyway, though, it can be expected that all cannot renew their minds as fast as others. In that case, the Bible tells us to cut off stuff that tempts us to sin too much.
