I saw this posted at the weekend on a news site that I use for my country. The last I heard they were preparing for protests after Trump had told people on his social media platform to be ready to protest if he gets arrested. So far to my knowledge, he has not been arrested yet but I do feel that he may be soon given the evidence they seem to have.

A federal judge has ruled that former vice president Mike Pence must provide testimony to prosecutors, according to people familiar with the matter — though Pence can remain silent on topics that deal specifically with his role in Congress on Jan. 6, 2021, when a formal tabulation of the presidential election results was interrupted by a violent pro-Trump mob.

What do you think? I have to read a little more on the subject.

I am reading today on the news he is going to turn himself in but will not be pleading guilty. I figured that being that he does believe he is innocent and the law doesn't count for him. He also seems to be posting on his social media for people to protest due to his arrest so to speak, we all know how that ends so I am hoping this doesn't turn into something deadly. Unfortunately, he seems to have a lot of followers who believe his every word, and seeing what happened in the capital riot, we only know what they are capable of.

he is on bail now, isn't he?
Haha, no way! Is this a joke?
Let's hope he gets what he deserves!

Witches know this is not a witch-hunt.
Some of the comments in https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/apr/04/trump-protests-reaction-new-york-court made me chuckle :D
Surprising that the Trump support was underwhelming!
Hopefully the Trump supporters will stop believing fake news

Not sure if he is on bail but I know he left court with a date set for December I believe to be back in court. Kind of long-winded but I'm sure that is the case with a lot of court cases, for now though we wait.
Yeah and of course Trump will deflect the blame to others as political prosecution: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-65186531

@fords8 I'm thinking that we should perhaps merge this thread with https://debatehq.net/threads/u-s-judge-says-pence-must-give-some-testimony-in-trump-jan-6-probe.78/ and rename it to Trump discussion ???

Stormy Daniels doesn't think that Trump deserves prison - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-65212196
Ms Daniels told Talk TV's Piers Morgan Uncensored she did not think he deserved to be put behind bars for what he did.
But she added that if he was found guilty of other crimes then he should be jailed as an example to others.
Of course she would say that

Prosecutors say the way the lawyer was subsequently reimbursed by Mr Trump while he was president amounted to tax deception, because the accounts described the payments as legal expenses.

The prosecutor bringing the case, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, said trying to disguise the payment to Ms Daniels amounted to defrauding voters by suppressing negative stories on the eve of an election.

Mr Trump denies ever having sexual relations with Ms Daniels and says the payment was made to protect his family from false allegations, not to sway the election.
One can debate this, but he should definitely go to prison for endorsing the capitol riots

Has Trump falsified enough records yet?:oops::ROFLMAO:
With a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30.8, Mr Trump falls in the clinically obese category, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention metrics.

Mr Trump also identified his profession as a "business person", instead of being a politician, the 45th president or a candidate for the upcoming presidential election.
I suppose that technically it could be said that he is a business person :D

Trump sues Michael Cohen, a key witness in N.Y. criminal case, seeking $500 million

WASHINGTON — Donald Trump filed a lawsuit in federal court on Wednesday against his former lawyer Michael Cohen — who has emerged as a key witness in the criminal case against the former president — seeking more than $500 million in damages for alleged "breaches of fiduciary duty, unjust enrichment, conversion, and breaches of contract."
