Some people don't like "likes", but they are probably a small minority. Anyway, I like likes, but I can see why some don't. Well, for one thing, it can get too much a habit, so we can't tell what someone really likes to an extreme degree to what someone mildly likes.

"Likes" are kind of cool, but I am not really into them. I post for memories, not to impress. I do not mind if a post does not receive any likes. Some people, though, make a huge deal out of it. Since no one clicked the "like" button on the content they had posted, they deleted it.

The likes stuff comes from an in-crowd, not quality, in most cases I suspect. Well, what is your take on it? As you say, I'm not upset with no-likes or low-likes posts.

It is just a feel good thing that make people excited that someone actually saw their post. I give the likes to those that I know are in desperate need of it just to make them happy. I don't care much about it and I don't give them generously.

Likes on social media have become a metric for engagement with social media contents. And I feel it is necessary to get as much genuine likes as much as you can, especially for a brand. Some people use numbers of. Likes as a measure of credibility.
